I had once again no inspiration, I just planned to draw a lotus and was not motivated to do so. Then the idea of adding a black suit to it popped in my head, and somehow, that way I was motivated... Go figure.

Funny, the texture of the paper makes it look a little like a stone carving. Just a little.

On other news, I may change the "pace" of that blog from one post every Sunday to one post every 2 Sundays... I'm really out of ideas for tattoos design at the moment. I wasn't even inspired by halloween (maybe because it's not celebrated here). Instead I'm having fun doing ugly gouache paintings, and it seems to take almost all the inspiration/motivation I have.

I love the stylized waves seen in japanese style tattoos, so I tried to reproduce them. With plumeria / frangipani flowers, because I like these flowers ;)

I tend to like grey tats more than colourful ones. But drawing in colour is fun - even if I often tend to forget it.

Of course once again I had to fight with my scanner to get the right colors. No, actually, I had to re-color it with darker shades, because the very pale pink and blue didn't show up on the scan. 

Oh... and I've reached 20 messages. Incredible (for me) :D
